*Star Melbourne, Australia Restored to one design class spec, raced in NZ & Thailand; originally named Pornstar, SWMBO has ‘encouraged’ new owner Chris Bland to rename to *Star. One of the most used Shaws in Australia, Chris a great supporter of sportsboats and the Shaws based out of Melbourne.

Snatch Auckland, NZ Owned by Volvo racer, NZ sailing legend Stu Wilson and widely renowned as one of the quickest Shaw 650s EVER, the Snatch is modified with a triple spreader 4 wire turbo rig, the only Shaw 650 currently set up this way, which gives it amazing reaching performance.
Barely Legal NSW, Australia Raced and campaigned in NSW, Barely Legal is one of the quickest Australian Shaw 650s, campaigned by Scott Kennedy in Pittwater, and competing in major regattas up and down the east coast.
Whaka Brisbane, Australia Like most of the timber Shaws, originally launched in NZ prior to being exported to Australia, Whaka owned by Tim Vercoe is a well set up quick 650, racing out of Brisbane.
Badonkadonk Wellington, NZ Originally built and set up by Shaw 650 sails maestro Phil Auger of Lyttleton Sails, Badonkadonk now lives in Wellington where it keeps every boat under 40 feet honest, regularly racing in conditions typical for Wellington, in 30-35 knots effortlessly (sort of).
Monkey Business Melbourne, Australia Another woody that has headed over the Tasman in 2011, Monkey Business is a quick boat, with a great video here http://youtu.be/AwmE32KKzl4 showing that even a bowman can lose his green glasses if you push it hard enough. Winners at Geelong 2013; 3rd in Geelong 2014. Owned by ASBA heavyweight and one of the major proponents creating the entire ASBA fleet sportsboat success in Australia, Cam Rae.
Money Shot Brisbane, Australia First fiber glass production boat, winners of Bay of Islands Regatta, New Zealand 2011, and now in Queensland, Australia, where she is still just as quick as ever.
Peow Peow Brisbane, Australia First homegrown Australian timber homebuild seriously well sailed and multiple winners/place getters in Brisbane/Queensland, Peow Peow’s name harks from the TV series Bro Town (reference http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T1rWhGbpuMM) which draws from NZ’s rich heritage. Sort of.
Situation Normal Gladstone, Australia Production Glass boat residing in Gladstone ust north of Brisbane; consistently now footing it with Peow Peow at the front of the fleet; SNAFU was best of the Shaws at Airlie Beach 2011 and is widely respected for having the most purple sails. ever. SNAFU and situation normal reflect owner David Mann’s desire to ensure compliance with his wife’s requirements for boat names, while still drawing deep from the well of bad boat names that tends to be the common element of the Shaw 650.
