Moneyshot smokes the Surf to City 2013
01 / 02 / 2013
In another bit of Shaw 650 magic, Noel Leigh-Smith and Ben Leigh-Smith's Shaw 650 (or the hyphen owners as we call them) had a great day out on the water in the recent Surf to City 2013, an interesting Queensland race that winds its way through the outside and inside courses (sporties on the inside) from, as best as we can figure out, Southport to Shorncliffe.
Or something to that effect. Finishing 2nd on line to the 8m Margaret Ann, Moneyshot was a little unlucky to be sailing downwind as the wind filled from behind, allowing boats to sail down to her; even so finishing 12min ahead of the next 6.5m boat over 8 hours had to feel good. Results here:
On PHRF handicap, well done to the E7 Barney Army who took out the win, who beat "Me Off" into 2nd and a nice moneyshot finish in 3rd.
